Our recent work on “the influence of neutron irradiation and recovery annealing on the properties of VVER-440 reactor pressure vessel steels” has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Nuclear Materials.
This work was performed within the STRUMAT project at NRG which is funded by The Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs. The STRUMAT project focuses on structural materials research for safe long term operation of light water reactors.
We continue this research together with several international partners within the framework of two recently started H2020 projects: STRUMAT-LTO and FRACTESUS co-funded by EURATOM, to address the remaining gaps and open issues in reactor pressure vessel embrittlement to support safe long term operation of European NPPs.
