The STRUMAT-LTO project, launched on 1 September, held its official kick-off meeting on the 8-9 September 2020. Because of the risks associated with travelling in the midst of the pandemic, project partners met virtually.

Dr. Akos Horvath, the STRUMAT-LTO project coordinator, started off the meeting with a virtual welcome and all partners introduced themselves. After a short coffee break, Dr. Murthy Kolluri, the scientific coordinator, gave an overview presentation of the project. From there, work packages were presented by leading project partners.

On the second day, work packages met in separate sessions to coordinate all tasks, efforts and responsibilities, with a focus on the first six months following the project launch.

Despite the lack of in-person interaction, particpants were enthusiastic and engaged. Technical details were covered, project activities were further organised and partners left feeling motivated, making for a successful project kick-off!
